Being "Creative"

It was my birthday yesterday (Yayy!!!) And my really lovely friends on the train decided to give me birthday beats.... 15 and one for luck.... Now I'm left with four bruises on my arm from Charlie's knuckles because she can punch to save her life it hurts so bad :( Anyway, I did a photography course at the University last year and I thought it was amazing! I went with my best friend and we had the best time learning how to use different types of photography, lighting and studio work. I am now doing more studio work and am trying to organise some dates with my friends so I can start experimenting again with all the ideas whirling around inside my head. The weather is pretty terrible down here at the moment, and I am drowning in course work, so when there isn't a chance to get down to the beach I look over some old images and thought I'd post my more "creative" ones, I hope you like them :)

A visit to Brighton

Whilst visiting my grandparents in Seaford, we went to Brighton for the day. We visited Brighton pavilion, which is amazing and so so beautiful! Sadly you are not allowed to take pictures, but it is based on China inside and India on the outside (hence the onion shaped roof). Everything was so colourful and there were just patterns everywhere. No wall was painted a simple white or didn't have some huge painting hanging on it. I thought it was amazing and would recommend it if you ever got the chance to go.
It was such a clear and surprisingly warm day, so we went around the Lanes and did a bit of shopping and like any girl, I spent a bit more than I was planning.... Walking back along the seafront was so beautiful because the sunset was STUNNING and everything was so still and calm. I love this picture because it has the silhouette of the west pier is perfect :) I really love Brighton because it still has all its classic buildings like the Grand hotel and the pier, so if you ever get the opportunity to go, I would do it because the beach and city are both gorgeous!

My beach

My first of many beach pictures :) I took these when I was on a walk with a friends dog on the beach last weekend and was experimenting with low down shots, the foam on the water and waves. It was evening light so they are quite dark but I like how they have turned out. I'm the kind of person who will always be looking out the window and if the light looks good, or the sun is setting I run in from school and grab my camera then rush down to the beach to get the last of the light. Have a look at my Instagram @milly_munroxx :)

Hello...

Hello anyone who has stumbled across my little blog. My name is Milly Munro and I am just a ginger with a camera who lives in the hidden corner of Britain with my family and my photos. I have started this blog because I want a way to get my pictures out into the world and to have my space where I can talk about my life and what I love. I live on the coast so I don't think it's possible to not post pictures of the beach, but I also do some stuff in a studio so it's going to be a variety :) I hope you like my work and welcome to my blog!
